Each year, as the first lunar month unfolds, Buddhist practitioners throughout the world enter a time traditionally known as Chötrul Dawa, the Month of Miracles. This is one of two very holy months in the buddhist calendar, the other being the month of Saga Dawa. It is a period sacred to the memory of Buddha Shakyamuni’s Fifteen Great Miracles, displayed in Shravasti nearly three millennia ago. Every year, the Buddha Path Great Miracle Event holy month is honored by the Dzogchen Buddha Path International Organizations through the Annual Dzogchen Buddha Path Fifteen Great Miracles Aspiration Teaching and Practice Program, conducted under the guidance of Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche.

According to the Buddhist tradition, these miracles were not performed to impress or dominate, but to awaken faith, humility, and insight in beings whose minds were closed by their negative thinking and obscurations.
It is taught that during this month, the karmic potency of intentions and actions increases ten million times or more. For this reason, practitioners are encouraged to learn about these great miracles that Buddha Shakyamuni performed, in order to deepen their commitment and faith throughout the entire month. The Great Miracle Event concentrates this effort into a structured and cumulative path of daily practice, guided by experienced Dharma teachers under the direction of Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche.

The Dzogchen Buddha Path Great Miracle Event is a Global Mandala of Practice
One of the distinctive features of this Great Miracle Event is its genuinely global nature. Practitioners from Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Russia gather through synchronized regional schedules, creating a continuous mandala of practice across time zones. Each day includes four essential components:
- Morning Buddha Path practice
- International teaching by authorized Dzogchen Buddha Path teachers
- Regional teaching in local languages
- Evening Buddha Path practice
Teachings are offered primarily in English, with translations into Chinese, Russian, Spanish, German, Japanese, and other languages as conditions allow. This careful attention to accessibility reflects Khenpo Choga Rinpoche’s consistent emphasis on the importance of correctly understanding the Dharma.
The structure of the fifteen days is intentionally progressive. The first five days establish a foundation of merit and orientation. The second five days intensify engagement and understanding.
