How to Knowingly Practice
THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS
OF THE ENLIGHTENED

☸ The First Teaching of Buddha Shakyamuni ☸

The First EnlightenedTruth
☸ The Truth Regarding Suffering

Namo Buddhaya!
All my suffering is the result of
my negative thinking and negative karma as cause
and all beings’ negative thinking and
negative karma as condition.

Thus, suffering is impermanent,
painful, empty, and devoid of self.
This is The First Noble Truth of the Enlightened,
which contains all wisdom regarding suffering and samsara.
Emaho!

Whenever I practice negative thinking and negative conduct,
this increases my negative karma and decreases my positive karma,
develops my wrong view and all my nonvirtuous qualities,
creates my discontentment, misery, sorrow, and afflictions,
produces poisonous chemicals in my body,
magnetizes all harmful conditions,
and supports all beings’ suffering.

Now I understand suffering and why I and others suffer.
Therefore, to end the suffering of all beings,
I will accomplish the perfection of my
positive thinking and positive karma.

The Second EnlightenedTruth
☸ The Truth Regarding Origins

Namo Buddhaya!
My negative thinking and negative karma
are the cause of all my suffering
and a condition of all beings’ suffering.

Thus, negative thinking and negative karma
are the causes of suffering, the origins of suffering,
the creators of suffering, and the conditions of suffering.
This is The Second Noble Truth of the Enlightened,
which contains all wisdom regarding the
causes and conditions of suffering.
Emaho!

Now I know the causes and conditions
of my suffering and all beings’ suffering.
The more I decrease my negative thinking
– anger, jealousy, greed, pride, and ignorance –
the more I benefit myself and all beings.

Therefore,
I will decrease my negative thinking,
negative karma, and negative conduct
through learning, contemplation, and meditation
on Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha.
Dzaya Dzaya Sudzaya!

The Third EnlightenedTruth
☸ The Truth Regarding Cessation

Namo Buddhaya!
All my happiness is the result of
my positive thinking and positive karma as cause,
with all Buddhas’ blessings and
all beings’ positive thinking and
positive karma as condition.

Thus, happiness is cessation, peace, precious, and freedom.
This is The Third Noble Truth of the Enlightened,
which contains all wisdom regarding happiness and nirvana.
Emaho!

Whenever I practice positive thinking and positive conduct, this
increases my positive karma and decreases my negative karma,
develops my pure view and all my virtuous qualities,
awakens my gratitude, joy, bliss, and enlightenment,
produces medicinal chemicals in my body,
magnetizes all beneficial conditions,
and supports all beings’ happiness.

Now I understand happiness and
why I and others are happy.
Therefore, to ensure the True Happiness of all beings,
I will accomplish the cessation of my negative
thinking and negative karma
Dzaya Dzaya Sudzaya!

The Fourth EnlightenedTruth
☸ The Truth Regarding the Path

Namo Buddhaya!
My positive thinking and positive karma
are the cause of all my happiness and
a condition of all beings’ happiness.

Thus, positive thinking and positive karma
are the path of happiness, the awareness of happiness,
the practice of happiness, and the breakthrough of happiness.
This is The Fourth Noble Truth of the Enlightened,
which contains all wisdom
regarding the causes and conditions of happiness.
Emaho!

Now I know the causes and conditions
of my happiness and all beings’ happiness.
The more I increase my positive thinking
– renunciation, compassion, faith, love, and wisdom –
the more I transform myself and all beings into
Omniscient Happiness, Buddha.

Therefore,
I will increase my positive thinking,
positive karma, and positive conduct
through learning, contemplation, and meditation
on Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha.
Dzaya Dzaya Sudzaya!

About The Four Noble Truths
of The Enlightened

The Four Noble Truths of the The Enlightened are the fundamental principles of Buddhism.  Believing in The Four Noble Truths of the Enlightened is believing in Buddha Shakyamuni.

This pith instruction on “How to Knowingly Practice the Four Noble Truths of The Enlightened” is derived from Buddha Shakyamuni’s first turning of the Dharma Wheel as contained in the Sutra of the Four Enlightened Truths.

Buddha means Awakened Omniscience.  Buddha is True Happiness.  All positive thinking is contained within renunciation, compassion, faith, love, and wisdom.  All negative thinking is contained within anger, jealousy, greed, pride, and ignorance.  Causes have the power to infallibly produce a result.  Conditions only have the power to influence a cause.  The power of a cause is always greater than the power of all conditions.

Emaho! means “Amazing!”
Dzaya Dzaya Sudzaya means
“Victory, victory, excellent victory!”
Sarwa Mangalam means “May all be auspicious.”
