His Eminence Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche, supported by the Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation, and the authorized Dzogchen Buddha Path teachers has been conducting the Dzogchen Buddha Path Internet Teaching and Training Program (ITTP) online for students around the world every year since the start of the pandemic in 2019. This online program is a rare and meaningful opportunity for practitioners all over the globe to engage deeply with the Dharma while remaining fully integrated in their daily lives. This program embodies the teachings of our supreme guide Buddha Shakyamuni in a way that makes these teachings relevant and meaningful in today’s modern world.
This international online program is not conceived as a casual course or a collection of disconnected teachings. Rather, it is carefully designed as a complete training environment, rooted in lineage transmission and structured practice, offering students a coherent path of learning, contemplation, and meditation under qualified guidance.
Guided by Khenpo Choga Rinpoche
At the heart of this Internet Teaching and Training Program is Khenpo Choga Rinpoche, whose life and training exemplify the depth and breadth of the Dzogchen tradition. Born and raised in Tibet, Rinpoche entered Dzogchen Monastery at a young age and later studied extensively at the Dzogchen Shri Singha Five Sciences University. His education encompassed not only Sutra, Tantra, and Dzogchen, but also the five major and five minor Buddhist sciences, reflecting the traditional ideal of a fully trained Buddhist scholar-practitioner.
Equally essential to his authority as a teacher is Rinpoche’s extensive retreat experience, including seven years of secluded cave meditation in the holy Dzogchen region. Through decades of study, practice, teaching, and authorship—including the core text The Buddha Path—Khenpo Choga Rinpoche has dedicated his life to making the complete Buddhist path accessible, practical, and transformative for contemporary students.
A Structured Path for Diverse Capacities
Recognizing that students come with varied backgrounds, responsibilities, and levels of experience, the Dzogchen Buddha Path Internet Teaching and Training Program offers different levels which are uniquely suited to each student’s capacities. This structure ensures that each participant receives teachings appropriate to their abilities, while remaining connected to the larger mandala of sangha practice.
The curriculum presents the full arc of Buddha Shakyamuni’s fundamental teachings, including the Five Fundamental Buddhist Principles, Refuge in the Three Jewels, the Four Noble Truths, The Three Dharma Wheels, The Three precepts of Extraordinariness, bodhicitta (the altruistic intention to awaken for the benefit of all beings), and the importance of the dharma system. Throughout the program, Khenpo Choga Rinpoche simultaneously teaches at many different levels to meet the needs and capacities of various different levels of students who are present.
Daily Discipline, Integrated Life
A defining feature of the program is its emphasis on disciplined daily engagement. Participants commit to a balanced schedule of preliminary practice, live teachings, virtuous activity, self-study, meditation, and concluding practice. Even rest is framed as part of the path, supported by periods of silence and mindful awareness.
Rather than asking students to withdraw from their responsibilities, the program emphasizes transforming ordinary life into Dharma practice—bringing clarity, compassion, and wisdom directly into relationships, work, and society.
Continuity, Responsibility, and Benefit
The Dzogchen Buddha Path Internet Teaching and Training Program reflects the core values upheld by Khenpo Choga Rinpoche and the Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation, of building a strong foundation in the Buddhist fundamentals. This gives practitioners a strong base and support for higher level teachings and practices, so that they can transform their thinking and achieve the ultimate goal, awakened omniscience.
By uniting practitioners across cultures and time zones in shared learning and practice, this program strengthens the unbroken lineage of the Dzogchen Buddha Path. It offers not only personal transformation, but the training necessary for students to benefit others skillfully and responsibly. In this way, the Internet Teaching and Training Program stands as a quiet yet powerful expression of confidence in the Dharma—and in the enduring guidance of Khenpo Choga Rinpoche.
